The church in Philadelphia was located in a gateway city known for it's wealth and cultural influence. Even though this church was small in numbers at it's beginning, Jesus commended them for owning their relationship with Him. It was because of their unwavering commitment to Christ that they saw incredible opportunities to share His love with others, even with those who were hostile towards them.
